Mitch Schonfeld, President & CEO of the Bergen Family Center located in Englewood and Hackensack, New Jersey discusses how the Bergen Family Center supports, strengthens and enriches family life with innovative programs for the local community. The Center has received international acclaim for its Reggio Emilia preschool education curriculum.

The second part of this program begins with Kaileé Berke, Director of Curriculum and Assessment Teaching Strategies, Inc. Next, Steve talks with Kenneth K. Guilmartin, Founder and Director of Music Together LLC, an international early childhood music development program. Studies show that music learning supports all learning. Ken discusses the use of music in enhancing early childhood development.
Finally, Steve is joined by Kathleen Priestly, the Associate Director of Professional Development at The National Institute For Early Education Research. The Institute offers independent research-based advice and technical assistance to policy makers, journalists, researchers, and educators. Kathy explains that kids need to know their preschool is a safe, reliable, and a secure place to be. Kathy also discusses how to make it that way.
